Roots of Empathy
Implemented internationally this is a well researched school program for bullying prevention (K-8). A volunteer parent-and-baby pair from the community visit the classroom 9 times throughout the school year. Facilitators support these visits delivering curriculum during visits and in 18 further classroom sessions. Participants develop their observation skills watching baby and parent interact with each other and pre-selected toys, and learn about infant milestones, temperament, attachment, and neural development.
